Product Overview

The MS Security Patch WannaCry M17-010 CD is the storage device that includes a security patch. It is protection for WannaCry and other malware exploiting SMB vulnerabilities. The WannaCry is a malware that could potentially affect CVUS ultrasound scanners and EchoPAC turnkey workstations. The product is impacted by a blue screen (BSOD) and system crash, when WannaCry is trying to infect the system until the malware is manually installed on the device. Even if installed manually on a system, WannaCry probably does not encrypt image files on the system. The WannaCry spreads from an infected system to the other systems by exploiting the SMBv1 vulnerability described in MS17-010. A security patch is used in the impacted products to close the SMBv1 vulnerability exploited by WannaCry. It is preventing the WannaCry from infecting and impacting these systems through SMBv1. It is classified into three categories of resolution, that is device impacted by blue screen (BSOD) or crash due to WannaCry, equipment that are not impacted and equipment that are impacted. The WannaCry is also known as ransomware. It is used in UL LOGIQ e, UL Vivid E9, UL Vivid S6, UL Vivid 7, UL IT ECHOPAC, UL Vivid E95, UL LOGIQ E9 and UL Vivid I, among others.
