This Nyloc Nut is made up of Stainless Steel and comes with a Nylon insert which varies it from a standard hex nut. It has a distinct advantage over other nuts as its Nylon insert helps it remain unaffected by the vibration. The nyloc collar insert is used to resist turning. It is also known as a nyloc-insert lock nut. This nyloc insert is not damaged by the installation and can be reused many times. The most important reason for choosing the nyloc nut in the industry are safety, reliability and economy. It is used for applications with limited space. This nyloc nut is made of stainless steel which contains minimum of chromium around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to the stainless steel and helps it to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintains excellent toughness and has a more attractive appearance. Because of these properties, stainless steel is often the chosen material to use for nyloc nuts for a particular application. The nyloc nut offers good mechanical properties like strength, hardness, which ensures a long-life span for the component, this nylon nut comes with M3 size threads and can be used in various assemblies of GE's Avance, Aespire and Aisys Anesthesia Delivery Systems. The material will be shipped in suitable packaging to give adequate protection during transit.
