Product Overview

Adapter EVAC Hit DISS F 1/4 Hose BARB is used in Anesthesia Gas Scavenging Systems (AGSS) of an anesthesia machine. There are several versions of the optional active Anesthesia Gas Scavenging System (AGSS) available depending on the hospital's type of waste gas disposal system. Problems with Active Adjustable Flow gas scavenging can cause a High Peep alarm. Make sure the scavenge hose is connected to suction. Make sure that the needle valve is open enough that the scavenger bag moves with inspiration and expiration. Connect the proper hose to the AGSS outlet connector on the bottom of the AGSS underneath the breathing system. Attach the other end to the hospital disposal system. With the AGSS operating, verify that the flow indicator ball on the flow indicator rises to the green zone, indicating adequate flow. Connect a disposal hose to the DISS connector on the needle valve on the bottom of the AGSS (underneath). The hose should be flexible and reinforced to help prevent kinking and crushing.
