A Grommet is a ring inserted into a hole through thin material, such as fabric. Grommets are generally flared or collared on each side to keep them in place, and are often made of metal, plastic, or rubber. They may be used to prevent tearing or abrasion of the pierced material, to cover sharp edges of the piercing, or both. The shape and size vary according to the requirement. The Grommet eliminates sharp and rough edges from through-holes. It is made from Neoprene, which is a type of synthetic rubber produced by the polymerization of chloroprene. This material is more resistance to petroleum products, sun rays and liquid materials. Neoprene has a special characteristic of being chemical-resistance. This Grommet is withstanding a temperature up to 180° F. These Grommets is also used to minimize the transmission of vibration.
